The most irritating vacuum cleaner I've ever owned
This is by far the most irritating vacuum cleaner I've ever owned.
On the plus side, it is light weight and has a handle on one end that makes is practical to hold the machine in one hand while using the dusting brush in the other hand. However, it's easy to forget the big handle on the top of the canister is for the machine's dust bin, so if you go to pick up the machine with it, the bin will come flying up and you're likely to spill its contents.
The cord retraction feature was good at first but failed after a while in a particularly unfortunate way: it won't lock at any extension and just zooms back into the machine. I had to tie a knot in the cord at its root to make the vacuum usable, so good-by cord retraction. The cord is shorter than is usual on other vacuums I've lived with so there's a lot more plugging and unplugging than there should be.
The machine will happily stand on its end, giving a little more high reach for the hose, but the exhaust...
Good
I go this 7 years ago for my birthday, and it still works. About 3 years ago the turbo floor brush and mini turbo brush seized up. But the floor brush picks up hair better than the turbo brushes.
Nice Little Vac
First of all, don't expect features of a more expensive vac on this one. I have the non turbo 722 model because I did not need it for one and it requires more fussing to maintain. There is some confusion about the dust bin lift handle if you do not read the manual. It will come out if you try to pick up the vac by that handle, but it will not spill out allover because you still have the filter and screen in place to prevent that from happening.
The adjustable wand is great. That feature alone is worth five stars. It is a quality well engineered product that will last much longer than the vac itself. I was amazed at how quiet the vac runs and the volume of the suction generated by a 10 amp motor. The secret to using this machine is the Users Manual. Read it and follow the recommendation for dumping and cleaning the screens and filters. This done, with that in mind, you may never need to replace either of the screens or filters. As fragile as the may look, handled with care they...
