Works but It's Not Perfect
I bought it elsewhere but thought I'd review the product itself. I would have gave it 5 stars but it does require some slight skill or your results will be less than perfect. The skills required are to hold it against the guides and draw it through consistently at a steady rate of speed. I like knives and I love sharp knives.
Back in my younger days I had the patience to try and draw a knife against a soft Arkansas or washita at a consistent precise angle to get a razor edge. As I got older I used guides and Lansky sharpeners to save time. I went to diamond hones as the technology got better. I don't have the time or patience (or skills) to use the old ways any longer. When I want a sharp knife I get out my 314 and minutes later I can have a very sharp knife. No muss no fuss no mess.
Knives that haven't been run through the sharpener before requires more time to build the proper grind angle. The sharpener is not 100% foolproof you need to know how to...
What's a headline?
The one I ordered is for a Christmas Present and I bought it because of receiving the same model from my son last Christmas.
