Easy install and works great
It took about 35 minutes to install, Unpackaged made sure all parts were there started assembly of the sub units.
The wiring was a bit of a problem as I have 2 switches (light and fan) but I wanted the remote feature so I only used one switch. Cut the wiring to an appropriate length (8") had over 2 foot left over after that.Soldered the connections for the remote module and then hung the fan. Flipped the switch and then the remote and a click or two and the fan was turning and the light worked as it should.
I have almost always bought Hunter fans and they do make a builder (cheap) version and you should stay away from them. This is a super quite and very smooth running fan. The blades did not even need to be balance. Typical above average quality fan from Hunter for the price it is hard to beat.

problem at startup diagnosed
For the couple of reviews that wrote that the remote did not work on first asking, I had the same problem for 10-12 minutes. Turns out the 12v battery has a very thin sheet of plastic on it. Not hard to get off, if you know its there. Otherwise no big problems. I am not an electrician and took less than two hours to install. Fan is very quiet.
The fan doesn't respond to the remote control, there are no pull switches.
We had an electrician doing work on the house we just bought, and while he was handy we asked if he could install the fan for us. He did. This gent does excellent work and has been an electrician for over 40 years.
Problems started showing up after running the fan or lights for about an hour.
The problems include all of the following:
1) remote fails to turn off the lights.
2) remote fails to change speed or turn off the fan.
3) after the light-switch is used to cycle the power, remote fails to turn anything on.
4) fan is still unresponsive to the remote after the power was off for an hour.
5) fan sometimes responds to the remote if the power is off overnight or most of the day, sometimes not.
The fan was installed about a week ago. The problems started on about day 2 or day 3.
Since this fan ONLY has a remote control, there is no other way to turn it on - no pull switches.
In other words, when it doesn't...
